today in class we worked on our essays some more. my group is pretty much done. so tomorrow I will probably watch the video on ancient Greece that is posted. our test is Wednesday on ancient Greece right before we get out for spring break.

Today in western civ we took a pop quiz on Ancient Greece. it was only 10 questions and we had 10 seconds for each question we did. I did very well on the pop quiz. I think I only got one wrong and that was one of the rivers. overall I really enjoy learning about Greece. I think it is very interesting and am really excited to start this project with my classmates.

ancient greece
olives are a huge part in Greek culture they eat them and they can be used for making oil, they use this as one of their demands. difficult to unite the ancient Greeks because of the terman they developed. shaped skilled sailors and ship builders we a part of shaping Greece' culture. there are over 1400 hundred islands some are Adriatic, Ionian, Aegean seas.

Plato was one of the most important figures of the Ancient Greek world. he grew up from a wealthy Athenian family. he was very important because he laid out foundations of Western Cultures. he was educated as well. mainly in philosophy, poetry, and gymnastics. later on he taught students. Plato always would say to his students "there is no other road to happiness."

Cyber Day Talk
Today in Western Civ we did not talk about ancient Greece. we talked about cyber day in general today. we talked about how teachers are supposed to give us no more than 45 minutes of classwork/homework and how it has to be posted by 10Am. we also talked about students plagiarizing their cyber work and how its a bad thing to do.

more on ancient Greece
there are over 14 hundred islands surrounding Greece. the Mediterranean sea mean two things. one MEDI means middle and TERRA means of earth. when you put them together you get middle of the Earth. Athens and Sparta did not like each other even though they were very close to each other (location) Greece is mainly mountains that's why they sail boats to get places cause it is faster instead of climbing mountains to get places.
